JetBlue Announces Caribbean Expansion

New York-based- JetBlue has announced its plans to expand its Caribbean and US network. The carrier has announced the launch of two new destinations from its hubs at New York (JFK), Boston Logan (BOS), Orlando (MCO), and Los Angeles (LAX).
JetBlue will expand in the Caribbean to St Kitts & Nevis, Belize, Nassau, and Grenada in addition to adding RDU to its services from MCO.
St Kitts & Nevis and Belize
Later this year, JetBlue will offer flights to two new Caribbean destinations from its hub at New York John F. Kennedy. JetBlue has built an extensive network throughout the Caribbean and Latin America over the past few years. Now JetBlue will offer service to St. Kitts & Nevis and Belize and will offer flights to 27 countries in the region. From its hub at JFK, JetBlue will serve 29 countries and operate up to 192 daily departures during peak periods.

Launching on November 2, 2023, JetBlue will offer nonstop flights between its hub at JFK to Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) in St. Kitts & Nevis. JetBlue will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Flight B62967 will depart JFK at 8:29 a.m. and arrive at SKB at 2:14 p.m. The return leg, flight B62968 will depart SKB at 3:30 p.m. and return at JFK at 7:00 p.m.

JetBlue will also launch flights from JFK to Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City, Belize. Starting on December 6, JetBlue will offer three weekly flights to Belize City on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. JetBlue is the only airline offering nonstop flights from JFK to Belize. Flight B62781 will depart JFK at 8:29 a.m. and arrive at BZE at 12:14 p.m. The return leg, flight B62784 will depart BZE at 1:30 p.m. and will arrive back at JFK at 7:00 p.m.
Expansion From Orlando and Boston
The carrier has also announced new flights from its hubs in Orlando and Boston. From Orlando (MCO), JetBlue will launch nonstop flights to Raleigh, North Carolina (RDU) starting on November 2. Flight B61592 will depart MCO at 1:00 p.m. and will arrive at RDU at 2:41 p.m. The return leg, flight B61591 will depart RDU at 3:26 p.m. and will arrive back at MCO at 5:09 p.m.
JetBlue will offer once-weekly flights from Boston to Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in the Caribbean island of Grenada starting on November 4 and will operate on Saturdays. JetBlue will operate one of its Airbus A321 aircraft on the route, which features its Mint premium service.
JetBlue will be the only carrier to connect Boston and Grenada. Flight B62153 will depart BOS at 8:00 a.m. and will arrive at GND at 1:43 p.m. The return leg, flight B62152 will depart GND at 3:03 p.m. and will arrive back at BOS at 7:04 p.m.

Lastly, JetBlue will introduce a new once-weekly flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, Bahamas, on November 4. JetBlue will operate one of its Airbus A321 aircraft on the route, which features its Mint premium service. This comes as JetBlue continues to expand its presence in LAX which is a focus city for the carrier.
JetBlue will be the first airline to offer nonstop flights between LAX and the Bahamas. Flight B62710 will depart LAX at 9:50 a.m. and arrive at NAS at 6:20 p.m. The return leg, flight B62711 will depart NAS at 7:40 p.m. and arrive at LAX at 10:25 p.m.
JetBlue’s expansion comes as last week; a US judge ruled the Northeast Alliance (NEA) between JetBlue and American Airlines broke antitrust laws and ordered the alliance to be dissolved in 30 days. It is understood that JetBlue and American Airlines will appeal the ruling.
